RE: Eurasian Wigeon at Pea Island, NC

Rick Payne, Jill Froning, and I found the bird from the parking lot of the
visitor's center on sunday morning. Sorry we didnt report it, I guess we all
kind of thought one of us would, but we all failed.
Anyway, yes it was a drake swimming near, but not in, the large rafts of
wigeon and pintail that were all over the ponds. We also saw a group of
about 15 american white pelicans swimming and feeding together near one of
the small islands, and (unfortunately) 3 mute swans, also together. Plus,
the bugs werent even that bad, all around a good day.

Hi folks,
A Eurasian Wigeon was reported today at Pea Island. It
was seen in North Pond near the Visitor Center. I
would assume it is a drake.
