Here we go again Saturday afternoon at Beaver Lake Bird Sanctuary in
north Asheville -- pullin' weeds, as we try to eliminate
invasive/exotic plants and restore native plants. We'll work from 1
to 4 pm.
Let me know if you can make it. Bring your best weed-pulling tools
and wear long sleeves and pants. And mark your calendar for Saturday
Nov. 15, too -- 9 am to noon, and 1 to 4 pm.
All this is in response to a grant from the Fish and Wildlife
Foundation (engineered by Jack Ranney of SAMAB) to the Asheville Weed
Team to combat invasive/exotic plants in the Asheville area and to
educate folks about the problems these plants cause.
cheers,
Len Pardue, coordinator
