Long layover at MCI, or is that KCI?, where I’m enjoying the free wifi. Thanks KS and MO! I visited the airport Arthur Bryant’s BBQ originally looking for eggs, but who would pass on the famous KC BBQ? Well, it’s beef. Not so dry but not like chopped pork. The sauce is brown catsup with a few flavors to help the bland beef pass for more than overcooked slightly smoked stuff. Forgetable slaw, called cole slaw here, as a side.

Aurthur Bryants is terrible BBQ and not good representation of REAL KC BBQ. Next time you’re in town try Danny Edwards or Oklahoma Joe’s (funny name for a KC BBQ joint huh?). Gates’s BBQ is equally as bad.
