French vs Microsoft (round 2)



* MICROSOFT CORP said late Tuesday that proposals from French
  parliamentarians to require software companies to reveal their
  programmes' secret codes could threaten intellectual property
  rights. A proposed law aims to force firms like Microsoft to
  reveal the closely-guarded "source codes" that form the nuts and
  bolts of their programmes when they sell them to state
  institutions, allowing their users increased scope to modify them.
