Ftptool is wriiten be Mike Sullivan (Mike.Sullivan@sun.com) of Sun. He has used Berkeley's ftp code. The latest version (4.5) is portable to Ultrix. NOTE: the Ultrix version works under the OpenLook window manager or the mwm window manager (I haven't tried it under DECwindows). The OpenLook fonts are DESIRABLE but ftptool will work without them. The will be lots of font warnings but the program will work. Xview error. Sometimes an Xview connection error is reported. This seems to go away if you start ftptool with font Courier10 set explicitly: ftptool -fn Courier10 or if you have Font.Name: Courier10 in your .Xdefaults or .Xresources file. The following files are available via anonymous ftp from ftp.cm.cf.ac.uk (131.251.42.18): Ftptool4.5-ultrix-bin.tar.Z binary image of ftptool for ultrix & man page Ftptool4.5-ultrix-Makefile makefile for ultrix (will need a bit of tailoring) Ftptool4.5.tar.Z sunos/ultrix compatible source of ftptool4.5 with makefile and readme Ftptool4.5-ultrix.readme this file When I tried it, xmkmf produced an invalid Makefile. I have amended Makefile.sunpro into Makefile.ultrix which works for me. Copy it to Makefile and edit the definitions of OPENWINHOME and the include path for X11 Release 4 header files. Robert Evans.
