Well, me gear it be mostly spitpolished, an' dusted. Antennas be cut to
the proper metre an' rolled shipshape. Mast poles all repainted battleship
grey. An' ol' Boatanchor Bob may even try donning a pair o' Navy bells, if
his big behind will fit properly therein......(:+{{..... So, instead of it
being ``Off to see the Wizard'', it be ``Batten down the hatches, an'
full speed ahead!'' Hope all the BA gear arrives intact on the fantail
and we don't forget the power cable to the gilleywhatsit from the poweritis,
nor the 10 centime gefrazzellus wat holds up the anchoranteterminux.
If ye gets a calm spell with fair winds an' followin' seas, amidst the
stormy gales of QRM on Field Day, see's if ye canst indeed 'ear a faint ol'
whisper from the windes o' war past, on the infamous BA/GB QRG. Friday
night will be the only night in the clear, so that be the beste it be,
fer a fine rattle an' bangin' on the ol' brass monkey. We should be up
and running from about 211800UTC JUN 96 through 220001UTC JUN 96 in the
clear, plus whatever later we canst muster. Try 7050 or 7030 (probably
7050 will be the best). Remember to sign /BA and use a real BA if possible.
Extra brownie points if ye wears yer knee-length knickers an' tie.
QSL to NA4G. Till then......
