HOW TO SUBSCRIBE TO THE BOATANCHORS ELIST

A word of caution:  Please, PLEASE pay attention to *what* you send
   to *which* address...if only to keep from looking stupid to the
   readers of the boatanchors list.  :^)

To subscribe to boatanchors for message-by-message service:

     Send an email to: ListProc@thePorch.com
     Leave the "Subject:" blank.
     In the msg put: subscribe boatanchors <your full name & call>

     There will be a confirmatory reply and a welcoming message.


To convert a msg-by-msg subscription to the daily digest type service:

     Send an email to: ListProc@thePorch.com
     Leave the "Subject:" blank.
     In the msg put: set boatanchors mail digest

     There will be a confirmatory reply.


To unsubscribe from boatanchors from your original subscribing address:

     Send an email to: ListProc@thePorch.com
     Leave the "Subject:" blank.
     In the msg put: unsubscribe boatanchors


To unsubscribe from boatanchors from an address the list doesn't know:

     Send an email to: ListOwn@jackatak.thePorch.com
     Explain to Jack, the list owner, what your need is.


To post a message to the boatanchors list:

     Send an email to: boatanchors@thePorch.com
     *Please* supply a meanful "Subject:".
     *Please* end your msg with at least your name and an email address--
        because sometimes the header address gets mangled and people
        can not reply to you privately.
     *Please* pay attention to what you are typing and *avoid* sending a message that does this...anything you are typing should line-wrap by column 74...but some people don't pay attention...and your reader won't bother to read very far before just moving onto the next message!  :^)
