Funny you should ask!

The 1995 Western Region Community Supported Agriculture Conference is being
held on Nov12-14 in San Francisco, CA at Fort Mason. Underwritten by Western
region SARE, and directed out of the Center for Agroecology and Sustainable
Food Systems at UC Santa Cruz, this conference is aimed at skill-building for
CSA farmers and the community.

For more information email to Farmcsa@aol.com or call CASFS at (408) 459-3964

Fro those of you in the northern California foothills, our Placer county
Extension office is sponsoring a 3 hour workshop on the topic on Thursday,
September 28, 1995. (I'm on of the section presenters) For more information
call (916)889-7385.

Also, a spiral bound book on growing for and forming a CSA will be published
by UC Cooperative Extension sometime this Fall.

CSA is one of THE most effective ways ot counteract the disconnect from the
land of the other 98% of the population. It's also a critical weapon in the
battle to save farmland from the developer's concrete truck.

Food for thought,
Marcie
