	It's probably better to go ahead and prune (as soon as possible).  
	Colombard is a vigorous and fairly heavy yielding grape, so if left 
	unpruned, you will have a mess, not to mention a poor quality crop.  

	Prune fairly aggressively.  Most spurs should be left with 2 buds.
	If the vines are in poor shape, count on a year or two of careful
	pruning and maintenance to get them in shape, and don't worry too
	much about crop for that time.
