Nettle water as a fertilizer should be used when it has stopped
fermenting, and should then be diluted with water, 1:10 if you have used
about 1 kilo fresh nettles to 10 liters of water, dilute more or less as
your nettle/water relationship differs from this (sorry for not
converting the metrics). If you want to use it while fermentation is
still going on, you should dilute it more, 1:50.

While fermenting the brew should be stirred vigorously at least once a
day, and according to my "recipe" book, metal containers ought not to be
used as the fermentation can cause the release of chemicals which
are no good for plants. Fermentation has stopped when the brew has got a
dark colour and doesn't produce foam anymore.
