Subject: Internship at Michaela Farm

A full-time farming and gardening internship is available from 
March through October of 1996 at Michaela Farm in Oldenburg,
Indiana.  Room and board is provided in a community-living 
setting at the farm.  Work and learn while contributing to 
the farm's goals for sustainable agriculture and land renewal. 

A resource library, educational programs, and spiritural
renewal experiences are available through outreach events 
offered at Michaela Farm.

Michaela Farm is associated with the Sisters of St. Francis 
of Oldenburg, IN.  The farm encompasses 300 acres of
beautiful southeastern Indiana farmland, and is a gathering
place for all, where Oldenburg Franciscans and Michaela Farm
members invite others to join in practicing and promoting
care for the land and all its inhabitants.  

Michaela Farm has been the site of bioregional gatherings, 
permaculture design courses, and workshops on rotational
grazing, pastured poultry, holistic health practices, and 
straw-bale housing. 

Features of Michaela Farm include a historic brick barn
built in 1907-1909 (the largest brick barn in Indiana), 
educational facilities, living quarters, farm equipment, 
solar greenhouse, organic gardens, orchard, pastures, 
woodlands, cropland, beef cattle, and sheep.
