SUBJECT: Robert B. Anderson slide presentation

You are cordially invited to attend the showing of a slide presentation by Mr. Robert
Anderson entitled It's the Walnut Acres Way, 50 Years of Organic Agriculture and Sustainable
Communities. The Anderson farming tradition carries back 3 generations and is based on the
principle that we have a sacred duty to put back more than we take from the soil, our
communities and the environment. Mr. Anderson himself has spent more than 25 years as a
farmer/processor while serving the Organic Trade Association in many capacities including
president. Most recently the Secretary appointed him to the National Organic Standards Board.

The slide presentation will coincide with the Earth Week celebration conducted by the
Department. It will be shown at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 1995, in the FAS
Conference Room 5066-S, at the USDA Building, 14th and Independence Avenue, S.W.

Please join us for this unique opportunity to visit by picture and discussion one of
America's original organic farms. Learn all the aspects of this successful organization from the
production and processing of multiple food items to innovative marketing techniques and
retailing of finished products. Understand how employees and communities thrive when the
organic philosophy of renewal and replenishment help create a sustainable culture and an
environmentally responsible society.

We look forward to sharing an interesting and entertaining hour with you from 1:00 p.m.
to 2:00 p.m. on April 19, 1995! Please feel free to share this invitation with anyone who may be
interested.
