GeneMaster is a small gene analysis package written as a 4th year thesis. It performs searches for sequences, looks for regions of "richness" (e.g. at least 80% GC nucleotides), translation using a variety of possible start codons and genetic codes, and restriction analysis using 93 restriction enzymes. GeneMaster was written in Turbo Pascal using Turbo Vision to provide a DOS GUI. Source code and sample data are available, and my written thesis (with tutorial) is available in PostScript format. This program should be considered public domain - users are free to modify code or use it in their own programs. GeneMaster should run on any IBM PC compatible.
