Mailing List Name Help Every Mailing List is contained in a RSTS file. When you want to create, update, or use any Mailing List you must specify the name of the Mailing List File. The name of the file can be up to 6 characters and should be the name of the Mailing List. If you just specify the name of the Mailing List (eg, VENDOR), then the Smart Mailer will try to open a Mailing List File on your account that has a file type of .MLF for Mailing List File (eg, VENDOR.MLF). You can also type a complete RSTS file specification, including a device name, an account, a file name and a file type. If you want to use an existing Mailing List that is not on your account, then you can specify that account (eg, [5,12]CUSTOM). In order to use someone else's Mailing List it must have been created so that others are allowed access to it. You may not create a Mailing List on someone else's account. (Of course, if you have system privileges then you can create and access Mailing Lists on any account). For more information, see the System Manager, or the RSTS documentation.
