RSX11M BL3.2 supports multiple mounts/dismounts. If a disk is set as a PUBLIC device (SET /PUB=DDn:) prior to mounting, any user can use it. If the disk is not set to be public prior to mounting, then each user must mount each disk prior to using it. At any time a user may dismount a volume he/she has mounted. DMO will return a message saying that the volume is dismounted. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THE VOLUME IS DISMOUNTED! This is because other users may still have the volume mounted. If the dismount message includes the words 'FINAL DISMOUNT' and the console device prints the DISMOUNT COMPLETE message, then and only then is the dismount complete. A user may dismount all volumes he/she mounted by using the DMO /USER command (no disk need be specified) or individually via the DMO DDn: command. To dismount a device mounted by another user or marked as a public device, the user must be privileged and issue a DMO DDn:/DEV.
