DMP -- FILE DUMP UTILITY To run DMP type DMP outfile=infile/switch(s) where outfile can be an RSX11M file specifier, or the user's terminal, TI:. DMP will dump records up to 2048 bytes in length by default. For larger records reinstall DMP with an increment. For HELP with the DMP switches type HELP DMP SWITCHES 2 SWITCHES NONE Defaults to word mode octal dump. /AS ASCII dump. /BA:n:m Specifies a doubleword base block address. n is high order. /BL:n:m Specifies the range of physical blocks to be dumped. /BY Data will be dumped in byte octal format. /DC Data will be dumped in decimal word format /DENS:n Specifies density of TU16 mag tape. /FI:n:m Specify file by File Id instead of File Specification /HD[:F] Dump the header of a file formatted. /HD:U Dump the header of a file unformatted. /HF Format all header blocks in file, dump others as defined by the other switches. /HX Dump in hexadecimal byte format /ID Display DMP's version number /LB Display logical blocks for a file /LW Dump data in hexadecimal double word format. /MD[:n] Memory dump. Do not reset line numbers at block boundaries. /R5 Dump data in RAD50 format. /RC Dump a record at a time in format defined by the other switches. /RW Rewind magtape before commencing dump. /SP Spool the file to the line printer /WD Dump data in hexadecimal word format.
