The TIMe command allows the user to display the current time and date or, if he is privileged, to reset the time and/or date. The format of the TIMe command is:- TIM[E] [hrs:mins[:secs]] [m1/day[/year]] or TIM[E] [hrs:mins[:secs]] [day-m2[-year]] where: hrs = Hours (0-23) mins = Minutes (0-59) secs = Seconds (0-59) m1 = Numeric representation of month (1-12) m2 = 3-letter abbreviation for month (JAN, FEB, ...) day = Day (1-31) year = Year relative to 1900 (0-99) When resetting, either the time or the date or both (in either order) may be specified. If either is not specified the corresponding portion of the date/time is left unchanged. All dates are checked for validity. If the year is omitted when setting the date, the current year is assumed. If the seconds are omitted when setting the time, 0 is assumed.
