One book I have found with a lot of different "recipies" for many metal types
was called "the oxide coated cathode".... It's quite old but has a lot of info.
There was another I have at home on high vacuum work...again it had a lot
of techniques...so look up the methods of cleaning metals for high vacuum
work. (For high vacuums the metals must be extremely clean to avoid outgassing)o Anyway see what your library has on vacuum work.
