OK, here's a press release from one of the smaller manufacturers. I don't
endorse or otherwise recommend this product, but what they hey, it's mostly
informative.

OCTOBER ASSOCIATES ANNOUNCES ASSEMBLY-LINE PRODUCTION BY ITS SUBSIDIARY, B.A.T.
TECHNOLOGY, OF ELECTRIC-POWERED FORD RANGER TRUCKS

7 SALT LAKE CITY, UT OCTOBER ASSOCIATES, OTC Bulletin Board (Symbol:
30CTB),based in West Valley, UT with operations in Oregon and several sites
in Utah, today announces assembly-line production by its subsidiary, B.A.T.

Production will begin at the company's Springville, UT, facility in October
1992. As a special introductory offer, the first 25 Ford Ranger electric
vehicles will be priced at $22,900.

7 IN ITS FIRST PRODUCTION YEAR, B.A.T. will chassis-retrofit to electric-power

7 THE BAT WARRANTY IS CALLED "l00 PLUS 10O" a 100,000-mile warranty on the
Ultra Force Battery and a 100-plus-mile driving range per charge, with some
limited restrictions. "B.A.T. Technology, Inc. is very much aware that
prospective buyers of electric vehicles are naturally concerned about battery
performance and warranties," according to Joseph La Stella, P.E., consultant.
"Therefore, as an additional protection for the purchaser, B.A.T. will
escrow for three years, in the name of the purchaser the cost of a
battery-replacement set. The company's warranty is not only remarkable, based
on its longevity, but the Ultra Force warranty has to be the most bankable
  pledge within the industry."

7 TO KICK OFF ITS INITIAL ELECTRIC-VEHICLE PRODUCTION THIS FALL, B.A.T. is
sponsoring, on September 12, 1992, the Utah electric car "World Challenge,"
the longest electric vehicle race ever attempted, with a $25,000 award to the
first-place finisher. Competitors will drive non-stop from Salt Lake City to
Wendover, Nevada and return for a distance of 240 miles without recharging.
