The local historical society is doing restoration work on a
former brewery/bottler/ice plant dating from the 1880s. The steam
engine and ammonia compressor dating from that period are still in
place, which was used to chill the beer and make ice for local
consumption. Because of decades of non use, the pistons have
"frozen" in the bores. The bearings may be locked also.
Does anybody have any ideas on how to free up the above
equipment, and get it into good enough shape to run on compressed
air?
Please Email any responses. Thanks in advance.
