Mae'n flin 'da fi, ond mae rhaid i fi ysgryfenu yn Sasnaeg.... This is a direct quote from a friend of mine who asked that i post this question to this list while she posts to alt.geneology. Actually, i'm sort of curious as well as my great grandmother's maiden name was Scott as well.. here goes... From: bethshaw@new-orleans.NeoSoft.com (Elisabeth B Shaw) Anyway, my friend's Welsh genealogy questions are these. She is looking for the records of a James William Scott, born c. 1818 on the Isle of Anglesey, Wales. 1. How common is the surname Scott on the isle? 2. How large is the isle? Would there be one or several Episcopal (Anglican) church parishes there? 3. What about major towns? My map here shows a few, but not really sure. 4. Where would she write for church records. She's looking for his baptismal record. Thanks for relaying the questions to the Welsh-language mailing list for me. I think I may post these to alt.genealogy myself to see what sorts of answers I get. --end quote-- Diolch yn fawr, a Nadolig Llawen atoch! Dr. Glyn Thomas Gowing
