might be interested in one of the courses to be held this summer by the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth. On 17-24 July: 'Beginning your family history in England and Wales' which I presume means 'Beginning the study of your family history ...' It's aimed at complete beginners and those in the early stages of research. On 7-14 August: 'The Eighth Family History in Wales Course'. Not the most pithy and appealing of titles perhaps, but 'The course is designed for family historians wishing to learn more about tracing their Welsh ancestry and aims to give them a thorough grounding in the use of a wide range of records and sources. The course is not suitable for beginners and it will be assumed that all participants will have some familiarity with genealogy although not necessarily in a Welsh context.'
