> Yes, i know i asked this before, but i had a harddisc crash... In case this kind of thing ever happens to anyone else, here are a few tips: WELSH-L is archived in monthly logbooks. These can be retrieved in large chunks of one month's worth of text, by sending a message to listserv@irlearn.ucd.ie (or listserv@irlearn.earn, or @irlearn.bitnet, or just @irlearn, depending on where you are). The message should say, eg. GET WELSH-L LOG9301 for the logbook for January 1993. Alternatively, you can search the database of logbooks to retrieve just those postings you are interested in. This can be done by constructing a database search routine and mailing it to the listserv. To get all postings with the word 'Alphabet' in the Subject line, send the following to the listserv: // JOB Echo=No Database Search DD=Rules //RULES DD * SEARCH * IN WELSH-L WHERE SUBJECT CONTAINS Alphabet Print /* (note significant blank space character before the word JOB). This will get the text of all relevant message. To get a listing of just the date, subject lines, etc., substitute the word Index for the word Print above. Details on the database search command etc. are in the file LISTDB MEMO, available from the Listserv at IRLEARN by sending it the message GET LISTDB MEMO I hope this helps in similar situations in the future.
