Someone in Wales made the big mistake of teaching me this little lovesong. I THINK I understand the words now -- so here it is, with my attempt at translating it into Irish Gaelic. Arhoswch funud, & darllennwch, os gwelwch yn dda -- and please correct my mistakes! So as to try to make my IG version match the tune, I have made some slight changes in translation, e.g., a chodi bore = to get up in the morning for which I have substituted sleeping until daybreak; yn canu ca+n = singing a song for which I have substituted to make music, serenade. Other things (hope "benfelen" means "fair") which may strike you as odd in the context may safely be taken as mistakes of mine. Fa/ilte roimh cheartu/cha/in!
