I am posting on behalf of my daughter who has to write a short Originator: pem@mahogany25 report on Chamomile, its active ingredients and their effects. She hasn't found much yet, especially on the scientific aspects of chamomile's essential ingredient(s). She has looked in lots of likely library sources. She has found the name of one sustance (compound? ) "azulene" ( spelled with and without the last "e" ). Is "Azulene" really the principal active compound in chamomile? Are there other compounds in chamomile that contribute to its medicinal-therapeutic properties? If anyone could provide the scientific names and formulas for azulene and other essential ingredients in chamomile that would be very much appreciated. Post or email or both Thank you very much for any help anyone can provide. Paul Martin
