This time the congress will be combined with an event supported by IMIA-LAC (Latin American Federation of the International Medical Informatics Association). INFOMEDICA'93 main objective is to provide the proper platform for all professions involved in Medical Informatics, so they can present their results and experiences in planning, organizing and implementing information systems, presenting software developed in their institutions, to participate in tutorials, to discuss with information technology providers, and to have the opportunity to listen to the most distinguished academical experts, at a national and international level in different areas of Medical Informatics, discussing their points of view and analyzing the development of technology in this area. INFOMEDICA'93 intends to be the the academical bridge between the experts in this technology and the new users.
