The scope of the conference includes, but is not limited to: * Algorithms, and methods for concurrent simulation (e.g. optimistic, conservative, discrete, continuous, event-driven, oblivious) * Programming paradigms for concurrent simulation (e.g. object-oriented, logic, functional) * Models of concurrent simulation (e.g. stochastic, process algebraic, temporal logic) * Performance evaluation (both theoretical and experimental) of concurrent simulation systems * Special purpose concurrent simulation (e.g. multiprocessor architectures, distributed systems, telecommunication networks, VLSI circuits, cache simulations) * Relationship of concurrent simulation and underlying architecture (e.g. SIMD and MIMD machines, geographically distributed computers, tightly-coupled multiprocessors) Schedule: Deadline for Paper submission : December 1, 1993 Notification of acceptance : March 1, 1994 Camera ready copy due by : April 15, 1994. Submissions: Prospective authors should submit six copies of the paper written in English and not exceeding 5000 words to either one of the Program Co-chairs. Papers must be original and not submitted for publication elsewhere. Each submission should include the following in a cover sheet: short abstract, contact person for correspondence, postal and e-mail addresses. To ensure blind reviewing, authors' names and affiliations should appear only on the cover sheet. Bibliographic references should be modified so as not to reveal the authors' identity. Papers submitted by electronic mail will not be considered. Review Process: All submissions will be reviewed using a double-blind review process -- the identity of authors and referees will not be revealed to each other. Papers may be accepted as regular or short papers. In addition, papers may be accepted for inclusion in a poster session. Papers judged to be of exceptional quality will be considered for publication in the ACM Transactions on Modeling and Computer Simulation or Transactions of the Society for Computer Simulation.
