Albums profiled on Fresh Air with host Terry Gross: August 25, 1994: REVIEW by world music critic Milo Miles: He reviewed four Soukous albums, one of which was not gotten and two of which were merely transcribed and are not locatable in conventional album listings. We await some help from Fresh Air to clear up the mess. "Super Guitar Soukous" (07243828188-2), Lou Badiko or Bandiko, according to the reviewer, his only album available, something like "Okobiniodoko," and "Sans commentaire" by Madalo or Mandalo System. Also "Soukous Vibration," Volume II came out in June 1994 (00401931515-2). August 22, 1994: Live concert by Allen Toussaint. It featured also his cut from the compilation album "Rhythm, Country and Blues" (088110965-2) and also mentioned his recording with the New Orleans Group Crescent City Gold "The Ultimate Session" which is due out later this year.
