June 2, 1995: David d'Arcy reported on a performance by the New York Philharmonic of works by Prokofiev including a rare performance of his film score for "Ivan the Terrible." June 2, 1995: Anne Williams reviewed the debut album of Kate Campbell: "Songs from the Levee" (Compass Records). June 3, 1995: Scott Simon talked with Elaine Bearer who wrote a piece called "Nicholls Trio" for a professor of neuro-science; it featured music based on leech rhythms. A CD will be issued this fall by Albany Records (1-800-752-1951) and the music will be available through Hildegard Publishing Company (1-610-649-8649). June 4, 1995: Liane Hansen spoke to singer/translator Jukka Ammondt who has released "The Legend Lives Forever in Latin", a CD of Elvis Presley songs in Latin on the Finnish label Stop Records (SR 103). June 6, 1995: Cy Musiker reported on jazz guitarist Charlie Hunter who has two new CDs due out later this month: one by The Charlie Hunter Trio on Blue Note and the other by his band T-J Kirck (its debut album) on Warner Brothers.
