COMING UP ON NPR's PERFORMANCE TODAY - NOVEMBER 6 - 13, 1995 Wednesday, November 8 Hour 1--Martin talks with opera soprano Barbara Hendricks about her work as goodwill ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and her role in setting up a center for orphaned refugees in Rwanda this fall. On top of movie projects and live performances at Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall, Hendricks has just released a new CD dedicated to vocal jazz works by Duke Ellington.
