COMING UP ON NPR'S PERFORMANCE TODAY - JULY 15-26, 1996 Tuesday, July 16 Hour 1--Guest host Melinda Whiting and J. Carter Brown give us a tour of "RINGS," an exhibit of more than 120 paintings, sculptures, constructions and masks spanning seven centuries and six continents, set to an innovative musical soundtrack. "Rings," on exhibition at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, is one of the centerpieces of the Olympic Arts Festival. The exhibition, assembled by former National Gallery director Brown, has also been turned into an interactive CD Rom.
