Wednesday, APRIL 30 Hour 2--In the final installment of "PT's Basic 10," Martin recommends a recording of Aaron Copland's Suites from "Appalachian Spring," "The Tender Land," and "Billy the Kid," performed by the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Aaron Copland, conductor, and the Philadelphia Orchestra, conducted by Eugene Ormandy. Hour 2--Critic Ted Libbey and Martin visit the PT Basic Library. Ted will be adding three recordings of the Brahms Violin Concerto to the library's holdings. Friday, MAY 9 Barrymore Laurence Scherer reviews a new CD of music by Handel and Scarlatti by pianist Murray Perahia, who's come back to the recording studio and concert hall after recovering from a troublesome injury to his right thumb. The soloists include Pilar Lorengar, Yvonne Minton, Stuart Burrows and Martti Talvela.
