(Sony Classical MHK 62342) Tuesday, MAY 13 Hour 1--"Circlesongs" brings Bobby McFeffin full circle: Critic Nina Gilbert was in the audience at the Kool Jazz Festival in 1981. McFerrin "appeared all by himself with a little microphone and used his imaginative vocal brilliance to catapult himself to world fame." In her review of McFerrin's new CD, "Circlesongs," she discusses how the artist has broadened his appeal to reach a classical audience. (Sony Classical SK 62734) Thursday, MAY 15 Hour 1--"Farewell to Philosophy" is the title of a new concerto composed by Gavin Bryars for cellist Julian Lloyd Webber.
