     According  to  reliable  sources,  the  periodicals  include
Pravda,  Sovetskaya  Rossiya,  Den', Gazeta dukhovnoi oppozitsii,
Rabochaya tribuna, Glasnost',Narodnaya 
     gazeta, Russkii poryadok and Russkii vestnik.
     
     Boris  Yeltsin's  decree  on  suspending  Moscow council and
regional councils in force  
     The  deputies and the regional councils staff are banned the
entry into the buildings, which are sealed up.
     
     
     presidents  of  CIS  republics  support  resolute action  of
Russian Federation government stopping clashes   
     Head  of  the  Russian  Federation  government press service
Valentin   Sergeev  has  told  the  journalists  that  Kazakhstan
president   Nursultan  Nazarbayev,  Kyrgyzstan   president  Askar
Akaev,   Armenian   president   Levon  Ter-Petrosyan,  Uzbekistan
president  Islam Karimov, Ukrainian president Leonid Kravchuk and
the  acting president of Azerbaijan Geidar Aliev  have  expressed
their  support  for  the  resolute  action  taken  by the Russian
Federation government on stopping disturbances in Moscow.
     
     
     Turkmenistan     president   supports   Russian   Federation
president  
     By  the  order of Turkmenistan president Saparmurat Niyazov,
deputy  chairman   of  Turkmenistan  cabinet  of ministers Valery
Otchertsov  said  that   Turkmenistan  president  fully  supports
measures  taken by the Russian Federation president Boris Yeltsin
and the Russian Federation government to suppress the revolt.
     
     
     Eduard  Shevardnadze  says he is on barricades together with
Russian democracy defenders 
     On  October  4,  head  of the Georgian state made public his
statement,  in  which he welcomes the assessment of the situation
and  the  conclusion  made  in  the Russian Federation government
statement dated October 2.
     "Deeply  concerned  about the Moscow events, I again express
our   resolute  support  for  president  Boris  Yeltsin  and  his
followers.  We  are  opposed  in  Russia  and Georgia by the same
forces acting from similar positions," says the Georgian leader's
statement.
     
     
     Baltic  states support president Boris Yeltsin's policy     

     According  to  the  press attache of the Estonian embassy in
Moscow   Ehtil   Halliste,  presidents  of  Estonia,  Latvia  and
Lithuania have made a joint statement saying, in particular, that
"the  Baltic states are convinced in the necessity to support for
the policy of president Boris Yeltsin, aimed at staging free  and
democratic  elections  and  accelerating  the  reform. Setting up
democratic  institutions  and  replacement  of  the totalitarian 
constitution  by  democratic  in the Russian Federation will help
strengthen  stability in the Baltic and Northern regions, as well
as  in the whole of Europe."
     The  document   was  signed  by  president  of  the  Estonia
Republic   Lennart  Meri,  president  of  the  Republic of Latvia
Guntis  Ulmanis and president of the Lithuanian Republic Algirdas
Brazauskas.
     
     
     Ukrainian  defence   minister  Konstantin Morozov resigns on
October 4 
     Ukrainian   president   Leonid  Kravchuk  has  accepted  the
resignation.
     
     
     secretary  general of Japan's cabinet of ministers on Moscow
events   
     The  Japanese  embassy  in Moscow made public a statement of
secretary general of the cabinet of ministers of Japan M.Takemura
on  the  situation  in  Moscow,  saying, in particular, that "the
stance  of  the  government  of Japan on support of the policy of
reform of president Boris Yeltsin remains unchanged. The measures
taken  by  Boris Yeltsin and aimed at holding free and democratic
elections  have  gained  the  support  of  a  number of countries
including Japan."
     
     
     French  prime  minister  says  there  is  no  other  way but
support Boris Yeltsin      
     The  press  attache of the French embassy in Moscow Philippe
Cocabert  has  passed  the text of the following statement of the
French prime minister Eduard Balladur:
     "It  seems  there  is no other solution but to support Boris
Yeltsin  at  least  as  long as he maintains his decision to hold
free elections.
     The Russian Federation's Supreme Soviet has not been elected
in  free elections. We have to choose between those who have been
elected  and  calls  for  free  elections,  and those who are the
remnant of the old regime."
