The "Guide To Linux Driver Writing -- Character Devices" is now available
on sunsite.unc.edu in /pub/Linux/docs/device_drivers.

It comes in two parts: drivers.doc.z and tutorial.doc.z. The first
is a document explaining how a driver interacts with the kernel, and the
second includes example source code. Both are flat ASCII files, gzip'ed.
The were written by Robert Baruch (who asked me to post this for him).
Please direct any questions to him at baruch@nynexst.com.
