Hi,

  I have uploaded version 0.90 of my JED editor to sunsite.unc.edu.  Here is
a short description of JED from the IAFA file.

Description:    JED is an emacs-inspired editor with the following features:

   o  Runs under unix, VMS, and IBMPC.
   o  Complete Undo
   o  Emacs, DEC EDT, wordstar emluation
   o  SMALL: on ultrix, JED is about 155K, vi is 172K, GNU Emacs is about 980K
   o  Extensible, function autoloading, etc...
   o  Emacs-like Fortran mode, C-mode, wrap modes
   o  8 bit clean: All word functions (upcase, downcase, forward, backward
       delete, etc..) work with ISO-Latin 1 character set
   o  capable of editing binary files
   o  full rectangle support
   o  multi-window, multi-buffer
   o  buffer/file name expansion
   o  Shell commands, unix mail interface, emacs-like get man page, ispell,...
   o  Overwrite modes, readonly modes, etc...
   o  sorting, compiling from within editor, etc
   o  display either percent or current line number on status line
   o  ctags interface, online function help, etc...
   o  Search/replace, and other standard editor functions
		 
Platforms:      unix: IRIX, SunOS, Ultrix, Sequent, AIX, Linux
                VMS, IBMPC
		Requires a C compiler capable of understanding function
		  prototypes
