Commonly recognized as probably the best vi clone, Vim 1.27, the vi
clone/superset is now avialable via anonymous ftp on "sunsite.unc.edu" as
/pub/Linux/apps/editors/vim-1.27.tar.gz.

It is ready to be compiled up on (and includes makefiles for) Linux, most
UNIX version, MSDOS, Amiga, and whatever else you want to try.

Features include a tag stack, multi-level undo/redo, line and column-wise
cut and paste using reverse highlighting to mark the block, text
formatting, keyboard macro replaying, and much more.

So far, the only known missing feature is the :ab[breviate] command.

Enjoy!
