The new ps is uploaded to a4. Also, speaking for Vince:

This is an official announcement of the release of newspak-1.3 to
SLS

For those who don't know, 'newspak' is an assortment of USENET-news related
stuff for Linux. It also serves as the news goodies in versions of SLS from
0.98-5 to the present.

Changes from the current newspak (and news in SLS 0.99-4):
----------------------------------------------------------

	trn - updated from v2.2 to v2.5
	tin - updated from v1.1-p4 to v1.1-p8
elm - updated from v2.4.17 to v2.4.21, uses lpr to print
smail - still at v3.1.28 but with smtp and uucp built in
by default and also with fixed smail 'util' files

All are compiled with gcc2.3.3 and jump 4.2 for whatever that's worth :-) rather
than the 'old' 2.2d7/jump4.1

Major change in distribution!!!!
--------------------------------
Linux and the compiler are getting so good that there really aren't patches
required for almost anything these days. As a result, I'm only going to
provide the binaries to Peter for SLS and will not (!) provide complete
sources for these packages.

However, what I *will* do is provide all the config files you need to get
the vanila sources from 'the usual places' to compile and run, so the net
effect is that you'll be able to build them from sources but at the same
time the various ftp sites will save 5-10 MB of room each.

Feel free to drop me a line via mail if you have any questions or comments...
