I've uploaded a few proc-FS-based tools to tsx-11.mit.edu. They're in the
file /pub/linux/BETA/procps/psmisc.3.tar.Z

fuser identifies processes using files (similar to Sun's or SGI's fuser)
killall kills processes by name, e.g. killall -HUP named
pstree shows the currently running processes as a tree

They should work with any recent kernel. Man pages are included.
