Procps is a suite of utilities that use the /proc filesystem to get
information about the state of the processes that are running and
about the operating system itself.

Version 0.95 is a bug-fix release. Most importantly, the occasional
segmentation violation has been fixed. It was introduced in 0.93, so
if you have 0.93 or 0.94, you should upgrade.

If you have 0.92 or before, you may want to upgrade, as ps can now
sort its output based on many of the displayed fields. The README
included in the distribution contains a few details. Some GNU-style
long options are also supported, including --help.
