As of kernel version 1.1.32, the IDE Performance Package
is now part of the linux kernel.  To enable it's features,
the hdparm program is required.

A somewhat enhanced version of this utility has been created,
along with a man page an lsm entry, and uploaded to tsx-11.mit.edu:
