Source patches for the RAND Mail Handler (MH), UCI version 6.8.3, for Linux
with libc 4.5.x have been uploaded to sunSITE.UNC.edu in /pub/Linux/Incoming.
The binary distribution has not been upgraded, since it still works with libc
4.5; only the source patches were broken by the upgrade.

MH is a mail user agent composed of many programs designed for use at the
shell level or by interface tools such as Emacs mh-e, X11 xmh, or Brent
Welch's Tk-based Exmh. Messages are stored in individual files in "folders"
(directories), and MH provides shell-level commands for manipulating these
messages as well as an agent to incorporate mail from a maildrop into a
folder. Almost all aspects of MH can be configured by means of a .mh_profile
defining various configuration parameters, the commands to be used for actions
such as formatting messages for display or deleting messages, and the default
parameters for MH commands (hard or soft links to MH commands can be combined
with these defaults to produce "new" MH commands with different behaviors).
Low-level commands are also provided for manipulating MH folders, messages,
and message sequences, allowing new MH commands to be created as shell
scripts.
