Hello Linux world...

I am happy to announce SYSLINUX, a tool to boot Linux off MS-DOS
formatted floppies, without the need for LILO-style map files. It is
intended to simplify first time installation; in conjunction with the
UMSDOS filesystem it would even be possible to put together a Linux
distribution using nothing but MS-DOS formatted floppies, COPY, and a
small utility (10K, of which 2K+boot sector are copied to the disk).

LSM entry follows.

Title: syslinux
Version: 08/20/94
Entered-date: 08/20/94
Description: SYSLINUX is a boot loader for the Linux operating system
which operates off MS-DOS floppies. It is intended to
simplify first-time installation of Linux. SYSLINUX
could in conjunction with the UMSDOS filesystem,
completely eliminate the need for distribution of raw
diskette images for boot floppies. A SYSLINUX floppy
can be manipulated using standard MS-DOS (or any other
OS that can access an MS-DOS filesystem) tools once
	     it has been created.
