(GMT == Generic Mapping Tools, a powerfull set of commands for
manipulating and visualizing scientific data, mainly for geo-
graphical an geological purposes. Some of the gmt-routines are
using netcdf, a library for handling gridded data.)

I compiled GMT 2.1.4 (together with netcdf 2.3.2) sucessfully on my
Linux-Box). A file with a few patches and some hints on installation
can be found at

ftp.informatik.uni-kiel.de:/pub/systems/unix/linux/local/gmt-2.1.4.linux.tar.gz

I will NOT provide binaries.
