Linux Journal Announces Single Subscription Rate For The Planet

Linux Journal, the monthly magazine for the Linux User Community,
announces a first in the magazine publishing business: A single
annual subscription rate of $19US to any person on Planet Earth.

Interest in Linux Journal, whose first edition will be available in early
February, has been very high, according to Bob Young President of ACC Corp,
publisher of Linux Journal. Subscriptions have been sent in from all over
the world but our biggest volume of subscribers have been from the US.

Callers from outside the US have consistently cited the higher
international cost of Linux Journal as their principal concern
about the publication. Linux is being adopted worldwide, and the
purpose of the magazine is to serve the whole Linux using community,
according to Phil Hughes, Editor of Linux Journal. So we had to do
something to better serve our readers.

By working with local distributors in Europe and Asia, Linux Journal has
been able to reduce costs in order to offer this "flat rate" subscription.

Existing subscribers from outside the US will receive credits to bring their
cost into line with the new $19 rate.

Subscriptions can be faxed to: 1 203 454 2582

Or mailed to: Linux Journal, P.O. Box 3364, Westport, CT 06880-8364 USA.

Visa, Mastercard, Access, Eurocard, and Amex, are accepted, as are
cheques in US dollars.
