Know a child that wants to contribute to the Linux Community? Here is
their chance. Linux Journal is planning to use a set of children's
drawings for the cover of the December 1994 issue. We have been taking
Linux so seriously that by December we will need a break.

What we want is a "picture of a Linux" drawn by a child. We would like
them to decide what a Linux should look like and then make the drawing.
Acceptable formats include:
  - paper (8-1/2" x 11" maximum) with crayons, pencils, markers, etc
  - any reasonable electronic format including TIFF, GIF, PostScript,
    ...

The submission should include:
  - Name and address of artist (only State and/or Country will be
    published)
  - His/her age

Submissions can be mailed to:
  December Cover
  Linux Journal
  P.O. Box 85867
  Seattle, WA 98145-1867 USA

Electronic submissions should be on a Linux tar disk, or MS-DOS format
disk (3-1/2" or 5-1/4"). They must be received by September 15 to
be considered.

Each selected artist will receive copies of the magazine to either include
in his/her portfolio or bring to show and tell.

This is where big companies would add all the stuff about impartial panels
of judges, basis of selection, who can't submit, ... But, we aren't a big
company so let me just say we will pick the ones we like the best. :-)
