Logiscan - 0.0.2 has been uploaded to tsx.mit.edu.

It will probably go to "ALPHA/scanners" in the near future.

This is the 2nd release of a scanner-driver for the Logitech ScanMan32
and ScanMan256 series scanners.

It is accompanied by a small demo program called gifscan which will
enable you to save your scannings in the popular gif-format.

It is known that there are some versions of the ScanMan256 around that
use different hardware but are sold under the same brand - sorry, but
these are not supported up to now and you will have to try out the driver
to find out,if you have a compatible board.

If you find any bugs in there, please report them to me.

If you are interested in : - writing other scanner drivers,
			   - extending my driver
			   - writing scanning programs
or have experience with designing scanner-APIs,please drop me a line to
enable us to agree on a common interface allowing scanning programs to work
with any scanner.

Regards,Andy
