Ifmail is a set of FidoNet(tm) compatible transport and gateway
programs, running on mutiple U*IX platforms (Linux, FreeBSD, SCO, SVR4,
SunOS). In cooperation with typical U*IX e-mail and netnews packages,
it allows to make a FidoNet node (or point) on a machine running U*IX.

The package is in BETA, use it on your own risk.

What's new in release 2.1
=========================

- Nodelist index builer is now a separate program. Index format changed,
  must be rebuilt.
- "protected" and "listed" inbound directories implemented (untested).
- handling of addresses without domain and AKA matching is (hopefully)
  more clean.
- a (very alpha) program that can be used for routing with Smail3.
- "nledit" program (for nodelist updates handling) contributed by Cees
  de Groot included (untested by me).
- Major fix of handshake problems with FrontDoor (inbound sessions).
- basic support for ISC UNIX included.
- other minor changes.
