Subject: rstatd Daemon for kernels >= 0.99.14y

Kernel statistics in the form of /proc/stat were added in kernel 0.99.14y.
Unfortunately, the format of /proc/stat had changed relative to the
source of 'rstatd' supplied in the xview3L5 package. I have modified
those sources (written by Rudolf Koenig) and placed them in the incoming
directory of sunsite. The filename is a bit misleading because it refers
to kernel 0.99.15y or newer. This, of course, should be 14y.

So - time to run your perfmeter!

Question to kernel people: How about getting network and disk statistics
talking to /proc/stat ??
