Many thanks to Douglas Frank, Torsten Eichner, and Bogdan Urma, for
identifying and repairing a bug in the SWiM demo programs.

However two important corrections to the previous posting on this subject
should be noted:

1. SWiM WORKS PROPERLY:
SWiM, a port of the OSF's Motif 1.2.4 runtime and develoment software, has
always been a stable, complete and very popular Motif for Linux. The bug
that was identified and repaired affected only the compilation of the demo
programs that were included with SWiM, with Imake.
(note: the demo programs are not part of the OSF Motif code and do not
affect the function of the Motif window manager in any way)

2. THE "FIX" IS BASED ON COPYRIGHTED CODE:
The fix that was posted to Sunsite was based on a portion of the code
copyrighted by the OSF and should never have been posted to a public archive
(it has since been removed). The fix is available at no charge to
registered users of SWiM from the primary distributors of SWiM, with thanks
to the authors :-)

3. HOW TO GET A COPY OF THE FIX:
If you have experienced problems compiling the demos that were included in
your SWiM package you can receive a copy of the fix at no charge by emailing
or faxing a request to either of the following:

ACC Corp (US):
email: info@acc-corp.com with the subject: swim-demo-fix
fax: (203) 454-2582

Lasermoon (UK):

Cheers, Bob.
